rlyqueerPain and fatigue are slowing me down, but sometimes you just gotta sit and force yourself to churn something out to re-establish some flow. And I'd very much like to, so that's what I'm doing! đź’Ş
Here's a snippet from Telling Tails:
Zhao Yunlan’s appreciative hum cuts through his thoughts like a warm, welcome blade. “You should wear it more often,” he says with a wide smile, all soft at the edges.
Looking up, Shen Wei wets his dry lips and says, “I—Ah—Thank you.” He swallows, and promptly side-steps Zhao Yunlan to get started on something quick for breakfast. But he’s stopped by an arm hooking around his waist, and he is very careful not to freeze, not to stiffen unnaturally, but to simply adjust himself so that Zhao Yunlan’s touch slides ever so slightly up and out of danger.
He turns with a fond smile and says wryly, “I thought we were going to be late?”
